King crab is a sea food delicacy with dietetic meat, one of the largest kinds of crabs. King crab is divided into several types: Paralithodes camtschaticus – Red King Crab or a Giant King crab and Paralithodes platypus – Blue King Crab. The King crab is native to the North regions of the Far East seas, namely around the Kamchatka Peninsula, on the Shantar Islands, in the Bristol Channel, in the Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea, on the Kuril Islands, on Sakhalin coast, Primorye: in the northern part of the Sea of Japan (precisely on the coast of Hokkaido and in the Peter the Great Gulf). Lately, King crab was acclimatized in the Barents Sea. Fishery for King crab was permitted in Primorye in spring of 2012 again. However, after a 10 year break, very few companies got a catch permit. The King crab is caught by two own seiner boats of our partners company, in accordance with catch quota.

Phalanges of the Red King Crab and Blue King crab immediately after catch are heat treated and frozen using special technology -FROZEN AT SEA (which means freezing on board of a fishing vessel). Then the cooked and frozen product is packaged in boxes by size. This technology ensures maximum preservation of nutrients and beneficial properties.
